The 2020 Spring Festival (Chinese Lunar New Year) is around the corner. To ensure the shopping experience of buyers and quick transactions on Alibaba.com will not be compromised by changed operating hours of logistics companies and sellers, Alibaba.com hereby makes the following adjustment to the rules of shipment timeliness for direct order products （including Ready To Ship products and As is products but are not yet ready to be shipped) on Alibaba.com during the 2020 Spring Festival (from January 15, 2020 to February 8, 2020):
If a buyer places a Trade Assurance order of direct order products on Alibaba.com (including products attached with the 
label) that is successfully recorded in the system from 00:00:00 January 15, 2020 to 23:59:59 February 8, 2020, and the shipment time agreed in such order is 23:59:59 February 18, 2020 or earlier, then the seller must ship the products before 23:59:59 February 18, 2020 by dispatching the products to a logistics company and/or requesting the logistics company to collect the products. The buyer should then be able to view the logistics status of the order on the Order Details page of Alibaba.com or in the track & trace system of the logistics company (for example, Collecting, Transferring, Delivering, and Received).
Unless otherwise agreed with the buyers, sellers must comply with the above adjusted shipment requirement. Sellers who fail to dispatch the products according to the above requirement shall be subject to relevant penalties in accordance with Paragraph 1 “Failure to ship goods after an order is placed” under Article I “Penalties for non-compliance in online transactions” in Rules for Enforcement Action against Non-Compliance of Transactions on Alibaba.com. Sellers who seriously delay the shipment and have successfully signed up for the 2020 March Expo shall be disqualified from the Expo according to the Announcement on Restricting Members Who Seriously Delayed the Shipment of RTS Products from Signing up for the RTS Activity of the 2020 March Expo.
This Announcement takes effect on January 2, 2020 and remains effective during the 2020 Spring Festival (from January 15, 2020 to February 8, 2020).
